In group 1 Mungret & Carrig Celtic finished equal on points but Mungret went through to the final on a +2 goal difference.

The final between Mungret & Kilmallock was a very tight & exciting affair with both sides playing some fine football. Chances were created by both but the score line remained nil all at the break. The second half was every bit as exciting as the first half & it looked like we would be going to extra time & may be penalties as there was nothing between the sides. With just two minutes to go Haley made a mazy run down the center rounding a few of the Kilmallock girls, just outside the box she hit a bullet of a shot under the crossbar giving the Kilmallock keeper no chance, a goal that well deserved  the win for Mungret.

Well done to both teams for reaching the finals & congratulations to Mungret on their win. Thanks also to the other teams who took part & contributed to this worthy cause.

On behalf of the league I would like to thank Rathkeale AFC for the use of their grounds & facilities, the pitches were great condition & marked out clearly, thanks to Mary Brennan for her input in this. I would also like to thank the officials Jim Molyneaux & Sean Harnett for their help & the smooth running of the games.
